Achieving Wetland Projects to Strengthen Communities

We are a non-profit organization specializing in restoring and protecting Alberta’s wetland ecosystems. Our full-scope services assist municipalities, private landowners, and communities in building, conserving, and sustaining wetlands.

From restoring degraded wetlands, to securing grant funding, assessing land sites, managing wetland projects, or advocating for policy changes, our work ensures Alberta's wetlands remain a thriving part of the landscape for generations to come.

Community Engagement and Education

Increase public awareness about importance of wetlands through educational programs, workshops, and community outreach initiatives.

Why Wetlands?

Wetlands are nature's powerhouses. They purify water, store carbon, provide critical habitats, and are essential for a thriving Alberta. But their benefits go far beyond ecology.

For municipalities, private landowners, and communities alike, wetlands also offer practical benefits: they act as natural flood controls, saving on costly infrastructure and protecting against flood damage. They improve local water quality by filtering pollutants. They enhance property value, attract wildlife, and sustain landscapes that support agriculture and recreation. They are the key to healthier, more resilient communities and landscapes.

We choose wetlands because each one means more green spaces, better ecosystems, and unique opportunities to connect with nature. We choose them because each is a powerful step toward a sustainable future where Alberta’s people, landscapes, and wildlife all thrive together.
